Checked in with Carol Barbee – Things on the move again! 7-17-08

I know how anxious everyone is about what’s happening right now with Jericho. I’m right there with you.

I checked in with Carol, and she told me that some of the members of the Jericho team had been out of the country and have just gotten back into town. In fact, they had a little impromptu meeting in the hallway to catch up on the Jericho front, and it sounds like things will start moving forward again fairly quickly.

While not a huge revelation, this confirms for me that things are still happening. With important team members out of the country, things probably slowed down a bit, but now they should start hopping again.

Yes, I think everyone is getting a little antsy, but that is because most of our projects have run their course, and we are taking a breather while we rack our brains for some new and refreshing ideas. We are still with you and will do so as long as you are fighting for us.

    Carol, can’t say enough how much I appreciate you and everyone else on the Jericho team fighting for its continuation. My heart is set on Season 3 … and more after that!

    Thanks for the morsel to keep us hungry Jericho fans going. We’re getting kinda skinny here without a lot of sustenance (wish that was literal, at least, for me – :) heh, heh), but we aren’t going anywhere too far out of reach! We still want Jericho to be happening. Was glad to see that Jericho got an Emmy nom for special FX, etc. Gotta say, I believe they deserve to get the award! The special FX on Jericho always rock!!

    BTW, in the last three weeks, at least four families we know have become absolutely ‘rabid’ fans after watching the DVD’s. Seriously, the “we HAD to finally turn off the TV at 3am so we could function the next day” sort of fans….and have gone out and bought their own DVD sets to pass it on to others. This is a crazy-making show. :) We are multiplying!

    While not as active as many JERICHO fans are with efforts to bring JERICHO back, I do regularly peek in to see how efforts are going to try to bring back such a well-done program. I believe JERICHO strongly deserves critical recognition and support for renewed life. I believe our society needs more programs with the heart and quality JERICHO demonstrated as an alternative to the lesser fare that currently dominates network television. Thanks to Carol and everyone for your updates and efforts to fight the good fight for a quality program!

    Good to hear. I came to Jericho late – first watching it online at CBS.com – I powered through the (first?) 2 seasons in a little over a week (including a ’sick’ day from work when I was nearing the end of season 1). I’ve bought both season 1 & 2 on DVD and have encouraged others via Facebook and blog to get others on board. Thanks for a GREAT show, and please take us back to Jericho for more!
