Thanks to Phil Palmer (Jericho’s Production Sound Mixer)
There are many jobs in the world of entertainment production that many of us never think about. One of them is in the capturing and mixing of sound on set, and in the studio. There are probably a lot of us in the fandom who don’t know the name Phil Palmer, but it’s time we should all get to know the man behind the sound of Jericho, National Treasure 2, Swingtown and the upcoming Star Trek movie (among others).
Phil was approached on very short notice and asked if he could help us by recording Brad’s VO for our spot. Like so many others in the Jericho family he agreed to do whatever he could to help. Without him, we’d have nothing. He donated his time just as everyone else involved has. Please join me in thanking Phil for being part of this project, and for helping us hear 2 seasons of Jericho!

Mr. Palmer: Thank you so very much for your help on the TV ad project with RubberPoultry. without your tallents inputting sound, the commercial would be just a bunch of out-of-synch photos flashed on the screen. Having Brad do the VO was great but the mixing is a special skill. My son studied sound so I have a tiny bit of insight in what is required and the foley artist and all. We hope to see you working with our team again in our fight to bring Jericho back and in doing so, we hope you are stil on board as the sound engineer when Jericho finds a new home.
Keep the faith, JERICHO WILL RETURN SOMEWHERE.

Phil, thanks so much for stepping in to do the sound for the VO by Brad. We are truly lucky not only to have a giving cast but also a giving crew. We have gained so much insight and appreciation for what it takes to make good televsion because of you. When Jericho comes back it will be due to the special relationship that we have developed.

So many people have put their heart and soul into saving Jericho, it just makes me tear up knowing how everyone has pulled together. It has been amazing to see how a TV show is put together and learn about all the people behind the scenes. The thought of fall coming and maybe no Jericho is so sad.
